Windermere Wakesurfing is a family run business boasting over 30 years of experience riding on Lake Windermere, and are a fully accredited British Water Ski and Wakeboarding association site.
Our BWSW Licenced Instructors and qualified Drivers will take you under their wing and ensure you get THE maximum success from your session.
We are fortunate to have a very close working relationship with Nautique Boats who manufacture some of the finest Tow Boats in the world and act as their Brand Ambassadors in the North West of England.
Our fleet of boats are renewed every season so you will be riding on the very latest top of the range Surf Specific boats available from Nautique, including the legendary G23!
The patented “Nautique Surf System” enables us to tailor make the Surf Wave to your individual needs, whether you are a Pro Rider or First Timer we can create THE best Surfing conditions for you!
What is
Wakesurfing?
Wakesurfing is a an activity which specifically entails riding the wave/wake created by a specially designed boat on a small surfboard. It is not to be mistaken for Wakeboarding, it’s similarly named Water Skiing family member.
Once you’ve mastered the correct Wakesurfing techinque under our proffesional guidance, you will only need the short rope to initially get you out of the water and until the Wave starts to push you along.
The optimum speed for our boats to generate the perfect Wake for Surfing is approximately 10 knots which is why this activity lends itself so well to Lake Windermere where we have a 10 knot speed limit in most areas.
